SHARNÉ LATEGAN

Sharné Lategan, Construction, Employment & Disputes Lawyer

Principal Director & Legal Advisor – Construction & Disputes

Sharné’s experience in building and construction law commenced even before she was admitted as a lawyer, and she has practised predominantly in the construction sector during her 10+ years in the legal industry.

Sharné’s experience commenced with working in a top-tier firm with principals and first and second tier contractors, where she gained in-depth knowledge and experience in major, complex projects. For the past 5+ years, Sharné has been practising as a construction lawyer in Toowoomba, where she has worked closely and collaboratively with a number of principals and developers on key projects including commercial, civil and residential developments. She has ensured that each project has the best chance of success, and that any potential dispute is dealt with swiftly and practically. Sharné also has experience acting for a number of local construction businesses, which has further fostered her involvement and presence in the local construction industry.

In addition to her construction experience, Sharné regularly assists clients in their ‘every day’ legal disputes including franchising disputes, recovering bad debts, partnership and shareholder disputes, competition and consumer law claims and leasing and property disputes. Sharné and fellow Director, Peta Gray, regularly ‘team up’ to solve disputes for their clients, by utilising their combined expertise and unique, commercially-focused approach.

Sharné is the Director and Principal Advisor of Enterprise Legal’s Construction and Disputes Teams.
